• Global Logistics Associates (GLA Inc.) was founded in 1989 in the State of Florida, U.S.A., as a non-profit corporation of independent freight forwarders and Customs brokers. The group was organized to promote common business interests through friendly and fraternal cooperation.
• The purpose of GLA was to foster and encourage the international commerce and distribution of goods by air, ocean and inland transportation.
• On January 1995, GLA founded its own NVOCC, but under a separate for profit entity and it was named GlobeTrans International (GTI Inc.).

IASA is a global network of International Freight Forwarders established in 1971 with its Head Office situated in Bracknell, UK with a Board of Directors comprised of members from various countries, elected by the membership.
The IASA Membership now covers 40 countries with a combined total of some 450 offices worldwide. The group employs approximately 5000 staff globally and generates an annual turnover to 2.5 billion USD.

PFFA was officially registered on the 15th September 1980 and at that time was known as Penang Airfreight Forwarders Association (PAFA) representing a pioneer group of about 30 aircargo agents. The Federation of East African Freight Forwarders Associations (FEAFFA) is a private sector apex body of freight forwarders’ associations in the Eastern Africa region that was established in 2006. It is registered and domiciled in the United Republic of Tanzania but its Secretariat is situated in Nairobi, Kenya.
